Annapurna Circuit & Sanctuary

This three week trek (with an extra 5 to 7 days for the Sanctuary) follows two river valleys, passing through what is arguably Nepal's most picturesque region, climbing from an altitude of 450 meters above sea level, to over 5,400 meters at Thorung La - the mountain pass between the two river valleys. Accomodation is in hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhora, where the trek finishes, and in tea houses throughout the trek. These basic, yet extremely welcoming lodges give us a bed for the night, shelter from the worst of the elements, a hot meal after a long day's hiking, and perhaps most importantly of all, the chance to meet the local Nepalese people!

Staying at tea houses allows us to carry everything that we would need for our trek, though arrangements can be made for local porters to accompany us if required.

The main hiking seasons in Annapurna are in October to December and March to May. Outside of these periods it is likely that we would encounter repressive heat and/or the Monsoons.

A few days rest and recuperation in Pokhara is recommended at the end of the trek.
